Through the Malta Writing Programme/Il-Programm tal-Kitba ta’ Malta, NLA works on the development of the teaching community on the teaching of writing by providing a range of professional development and  teacher-support opportunities. The MWP also supports schools, school networks and local communities by organizing a number of writing activities across Malta and Gozo.

The National Literacy Agency coordinates the family writing clubs ‘Klabb Kitba Kreattiva’ and ‘Klabb Kittieba Żgħar’. In these writing clubs, children, along with their parents/guardians, become more familiar with a range of writing strategies that enable them to develop their creative skills. Furthermore, these writing clubs also equip parents/guardians with practical writing skills they can use with their child at home.
