The National Readathon/Qaritona Nazzjonali is an initiative organized by the Malta Trust Foundation, in conjunction with the National Literacy Agency. The aim of the Readathon is to foster a love for reading among children, while nurturing in them a sense of solidarity with their peers through reading for pleasure. The funds collected will be used to purchase personalised assistive devices for non-verbal children on the autism spectrum and children who are blind/visually impaired. This initiative is being organised with the support of Malta Public Transport.
