Since November 2021, a new online literacy programme, the Read Aloud Programme/Ħlewwet il-Qari, started to be offered to students identified by the National Literacy Agency (NLA) as most likely to benefit from it. The programme consists of three weekly interactive two-to-one online read aloud sessions delivered, in either Maltese or English, by trained reading tutors.
